The level 7 International Diploma in Process Safety Management is a qualification for professionals employed and aspiring to work in process industries. It is aimed at learners who are responsible for developing and applying process safety management on a day-to-day basis in an organisation.

The Level 7 International Diploma in Process Safety Management will require Learners to evaluate a wide range of process safety management standards, risk-based process safety techniques and human factors and process safety culture.

Entry Criteria

The qualification has been designed to be easily accessible with no or fewer restrictions and barriers to entry or progression. The learners will be required to hold the following qualifications for the entry:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or) Master’s Degree in Engineering (or) a Degree/Diploma in Chemical, Instrumentation, Mechanical or a related process safety discipline
2. A minimum of two years of work experience demonstrating current and relevant industry knowledge is required
3. NVQ Diploma Level 6
4. European Safety Council’s Int Diploma in HSE endorsed by Qualifi
5. NEBOSH International Diploma

Significantly experienced individuals with a lack of formal qualifications may be considered in certain circumstances, which is purely subject to interview and they being able to demonstrate their ability to cope with the course’s demands.

Units Involved

This qualification is divided into four units. They are as follows:

1. Process Safety Management System
2. Risk-Based Process Safety
3. Process Safety Culture and Human Factors
4. Development as a Strategic Manage

Course Duration

The course duration is for 18 months and you may opt to submit the modules within this time frame. As and when you finish a module, you may submit it for the Assessor review.
