Course Overview
The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) offers a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices. The syllabus, therefore, focuses on international standards, in particular ILO codes of practice. NEBOSH qualifications are categorized as ‘Other’ qualifications by SQA Accreditation in Scotland.

Is this Qualification Recognized?
The NEBOSH International Certificate is widely respected by employers globally and provides the academic requirement for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) and Associate Membership of IIRSM (AIIRSM).
Eligibility Criteria:
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however, it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

Examination Structure:
Assessment is a two-step process:
IGC 1 – Management of health and safety will be assessed with scenario-type questions and the candidate has to submit it within 24 hours and a Viva session will be conducted by the assessor online.
IGC 2 – A practical risk assessment (3 hours)
Both assessments are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH.

Candidates Enrolled on old Syllabus
Candidates who are pursuing NEBOSH IGC on the current syllabus must complete (pass) all 3 units until 31st March 2022. If he/she could not clear on the above-mentioned date, all previously passed units will be nullified.
BATCH SCHEDULE :
Class sessions will last for approximately 80 hours in total. A schedule will be provided based on the batch.
