To complete this qualification learner should expect to undertake 8 hours of learning, with a minimum contact time, excluding breaks of 6 hours typically over 1 day.
The qualification covers a range of essential emergency first aid topics including the role and responsibilities of a first aider, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, managing unconscious casualties, cardiopulmonary (CPR) and responding to incidents, such as choking or external bleeding.
